Roman

Careful what you wish for! Our interactions with student government at my institution have resulted in them insisting that we purchase copies of every textbook used each term and put them on reserve.

Aaron the Librarian

Rhetorical question #1:
What's wrong with buying textbooks to keep on reserve?

Rhetorical question #2:
Why not agree to their request/demand *contingent upon sufficient SGA funding*?

Pro:
Good compromise; might foster goodwill; SGA would have to put their money where their mouth is; the debate would be good experience for the students on SGA

Con:
What would that money have been better spent upon; might foster badwill between library and other campus constituencies
